Discovery
The Discover phase lays the foundation for all future design decisions. It focuses on uncovering needs, gathering inspiration, understanding the client, and assessing the space. This phase allows us to gain a comprehensive understanding of the project scope, functional requirements, client preferences, timeline, and budget. As one of the most critical stages, it sets the project up for long-term success.

Space Planning & Concept Development
Using insights gathered during the discovery phase to begin defining the organization and functionality of the space. This stage directly influences the flow, usability, and aesthetic character of the environment.

Design Development
Serves as a critical bridge between conceptual design and project execution. During this stage, the initial ideas developed in the discovery or schematic design phase are refined and transformed into more detailed and practical plans. This includes the selection of materials, finishes, fixtures, and building systems.
The goal of design development is to ensure that the design is feasible, well-coordinated, and aligned with the project’s budget and timeline. By the end of this phase, the design is sufficiently detailed to begin producing construction documentation.

Documentation
We provide comprehensive construction documents for interior renovations and build-outs. These include detailed plans, elevations, finish schedules, lighting layouts, and other technical drawings necessary for construction.
To ensure code compliance and meet all permitting requirements, we partner with a licensed architect who reviews, stamps, and submits the documents to the city on our behalf. This collaborative process allows us to maintain creative and technical control of the interior design while ensuring all drawings meet the local jurisdiction’s standards for approval and permitting

Project Coordination & Implementation
One of our favorite phases of the process is when construction begins to take shape. During this stage, we work closely with the general contractor to ensure the project stays on schedule, within budget, and up to our quality standards. We proactively identify and resolve any on-site issues to maintain workflow efficiency. Coordination of furniture, lighting, and artwork installations is also completed, along with staging of decorative elements. Finally, a comprehensive walk-through is conducted to address any remaining adjustments before the client moves in.
